Occupational Therapy Service Pricing 

Please note that the Occupational Therapy service pricing is the same for NDIS, Medicare and Private clients. We follow the latest NDIS pricing guide, if you are an NDIS participant.

Hourly rate of Occupational Therapist (OT) - $193.99 

Hourly rate of Therapy Assistant (TA) / Allied Health Assistant (AHA) - $86.79

Client intake and onboarding:

When you contact us, we will find a suitable practitioner, depending on your (or client) needs and goals, either with an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Occupational Therapist - Therapy Assistant (OT-TA). Next, we will find availability within our calendars, we organise a parent/caregiver-only interview to begin the onboarding process.

The initial reviews (e.g., parent-only, child) with OT - 90 mins appointments with 60 mins of face-to-face time and 30 mins of non-face-to-face time (e.g, reviewing reports, writing notes) are charged $290.99. 

Standard Therapy Session Duration and Service Fees:

All standard sessions at the Clinic and in the Community will include 45 minutes of face-to-face time plus between 25 to 40 minutes non-face-to-face time which is detailed below.

OT – Standard – Clinic- 70 mins (45 mins face-to-face therapy time + 25 mins non-face-to-face time that includes 5 mins session planning, 10 mins setting up, packing, sanitising resources and environment, 10 mins writing notes and feedback)  $226.32

Therapy Assistant Level 2– Standard - Clinic - 80 mins (45 mins face-to-face therapy time + 35 mins non-face-to-face time that includes 10 mins session planning, 10 mins setting up, packing, sanitising resources and environment, 15 mins writing notes and feedback) $115.72

Travel Charges - For Community (Kindy/School/Home) Visits:

Travel - Labour costs - time taken to travel (30 minutes maximum each way x 2) from the Clinic to Service location back to Clinic - Hourly rate of the pracitioner, Two-way.  NDIS Clients pay 50% of the travel time fee as determined by the latest pricing guide.

Travel - Non-labour costs - distance travelled (kilometres) x 2 from the Clinic to Service location back to Clinic - $1 per kilometre, Two-way.

 The travel time (maximum of 30 minutes x 2 ways) and travel mileage (distance in Kilometres x 2 ways ) are calculated using Google Maps for consistency and will be rounded to the nearest 5 minutes and 5 kilometres respectively. 

OT – Standard -  Community 75 mins (45 mins face-to-face therapy time + 30 mins non-face-to-face time that includes 5 mins session planning, 15 mins loading, unloading, setting up, packing, sanitising resources and environment, 10 mins writing notes and feedback)  $242.49 + Travel Time + Travel Mileage (Kms)

Therapy Assistant Level 2– Standard -  Community - 85 mins (45 mins face-to-face therapy time

+ 40 mins non-face-to-face time that includes 10 mins session planning, 15 mins loading, unloading, setting up, packing, sanitising resources and environment, 15 mins writing notes and feedback)  $122.95 + Travel Time + Travel Mileage (Kms)

Non-standard sessions (e.g., review sessions, activity-based therapy, cooking sessions, group sessions, sibling sessions) may involve longer times when needed and these will be clearly reflected on the invoices. 

Non-face-to-face supports (of duration longer than 5 minutes) like report writing, meetings, emails, phone calls and creating individualised resources will continue to be billed at the applicable hourly rates of $193.99 for OT, and $86.79 Therapy Assistant (Level 2).
